Ethics

Tyman sees integrity as the cornerstone of a sustainable business.

The Group recognises the importance of acting with integrity at its core to attract and retain great people, build lasting strategic relationships with customers and suppliers, and secure the long-term backing of shareholders.

“Integrity in Action” is the Group’s code of business ethics. It provides the ethical framework for how to apply the Group’s purpose and values, summarises the policies that must be followed, provides guidance on how to handle ethical dilemmas and explains how to raise concerns.

All Tyman employees, persons acting on behalf of the Group and suppliers are expected to follow this Code, operating with high standards of professional and ethical conduct and in compliance with local laws and regulations. The Code is supported by Group policies including anti-bribery and the prevention of the facilitation of tax evasion. Training programmes are in place and a global network of Integrity Champions reinforces the Code at a local level through acting as a point of confidential guidance to our people.

The Group operates a confidential whistleblowing helpline, SpeakUp, which is available for all employees and any external person associated with providing goods or services to any part of the Group. The whistleblowing helpline is operated by an external, independent organisation and can be accessed via the internet (www.tymanspeakup.com) or telephone (click here for local country telephone number). Each call is fully investigated, by an appropriate person, independent of the claim being made. These claims are reported to the Board, which is kept appraised of all actions being taken and the final outcomes. Tyman will take all concerns seriously and will not tolerate any form of retaliation for issues raised in good faith.

The Group is proud of the success it has achieved, but how that success is achieved matters, both for today and to secure our future for the generations to come.
